Fire Department
The members of Ransom Canyon VFD/EMS shall strive to protect the lives and property of the Town of Ransom Canyon and the surrounding
communities through fire suppression services, emergency medical services, pre-fire planning, public education and to foster community
relationships. We are committed to continuously improving our abilities to protect life and property of Ransom Canyon Residents, Lubbock
County Residents and The State of Texas.
The Ransom Canyon Fire Department fleet consist of:

1 Tyone Pumper/Tanker Engine

1 E-One Pumper Engine

1 E-One Tanker

1 Brush Truck

1 EMS First Responder Truck

Other specialized equipment consists of two (2) gas powered generators, a gas powered water pump, numerous back boards, stokes baskets, extra supply hose and extra Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) tanks.
Fire Chief: Angela Hill
The Fire Department has mutual aid agreements with all of the other volunteer departments in Lubbock County.
All personnel carry pagers and radios in the event of a call.
