City Hall is located in the North East section of the City by the two white water tanks, north of the park at 24 Lee Kitchens Drive. Office hours are 8-4:30
The City of Ransom Canyon is found 9 miles east of Lubbock, Texas, in Lubbock County. It is a scenic cluster of homes with distinct architecture and geology. This planned community now has a population of 1011 people.

Ransom Canyon is actually in two school districts, Roosevelt ISD & Slaton ISD. Please look at the link to the district map before enrolling your child in school.

The library is located just east of City Hall, beside the water house, on the road to the RV park.

Mary Roberts is the librarian for the Children’ s Library in Ransom Canyon. Her contact number is (806) 829-2466. Mary is a contract employee of the city.
The sign at the front road sits on a city easement and the lit-up signage labeled Ransom Canyon is owned by the City and was originally donated to the City from South Plains Electric Cooperative (SPEC).
The residents who live in the Brookhollow area purchased the pump at Brookhollow, and the Property Owner’s Association.
The POA, city, and the Brookhollow Chapel originally purchased the electric sign at the Fire Department. The Fire Department provided the land for the sign and pays for the electricity.
Can Ransom Canyon residents access the lake at Buffalo Springs? Yes, residents will need to purchase passes from Buffalo to access their lake. Their number is (806) 747-3353, Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and (806) 747-3714 on weekends and after hours. Annual Passes can also be purchased online at https://www.buffalospringslake.net/product/annual-pass/.
